2021 Registration, Lodging, and Other News

Sent to the Interest List riders, 1/31/2021 ...

We're sending you this note because you are on the Colorado High Country 1200k interest list for 2021.

  • Registration is set to open Monday, February 15. We’ll send out another reminder in advance of the opening.
  • There will be two Entry Fee options:
    • $400 - including three nights’ lodging (double occupancy), dropbag transport to overnight site (Walden) and back, and food offerings at that control.
    • $230 - same as above but with no lodging provided.
  • Lodging - Choosing the “no lodging” option allows you to make other lodging arrangements in Walden - if you prefer to avoid double occupancy -  or elsewhere if you were not planning to sleep in Walden anyway. We currently have reserved all the rooms at the host motel, the North Park Inn, but will be releasing some in time for registration. There are also other motels in town, and elsewhere on the course.  More details on room-sharing to come.
  • Rules for Riders - Always good to review the Rules for Riders, including such provisions as: "The vehicle must be powered solely by the rider." and "Personal support is only allowed at checkpoints."
  • Registration Reminders -
    • To be considered a registrant, you need to fill in the application and send your payment.
    • First-day registrants who were registered in 2020 when the event was cancelled get priority.
    • Other first-day registrants will go into a lottery if we have over 50 total the first day.
  • Colorado High Country Blog - We'll be posting this update on the Colorado High Country Blog. After registration opens, the Blog will be the primary channel for getting updates to you, so be sure to follow the blog after you register.
Thanks for your interest, and we hope you can join us if your plans allow!
